Taiwan Trips and Chinese New Year!

Our first official overseas trip as a family! (池上)

We embarked on a 10 days 9 night trip to Taiwan with your grandfather and uncle. It was the first family trip. As we traveled in January this year, we though it will be very cold. As Kiasu parents, we bought lots of winter wear for you but when we reached there, the weather was only 18 degrees😂

We went to so many places and it was very tiring for your mum to take care of you while traveling, but we know is all worth it. Even though you may not remember when you grow up, we will show you all these pictures and bring you there again😃

Your first Chinese New Year with us!

Our annual family gathering became very lively when you are around. Everyone in my family carried you and you are always smiling to everyone. If each smile you received a ‘Hong Bao’ from them😃

Ah Gong give you your first Hong Bao!

As you grow bigger you like to show many emotions on your face. Of which many are cute faces. Some day I will make your face into my telegram stickers

From Sitting to Crawling!

You are 7 months old!

Playing the slides with your grandma😘

I’m blessed to witness you sit up, and eventually crawl. You are really curious and have very ‘itchy’ hands; you like to touch all kinds of objects and put into your mouth. There are times where you almost pull down our Dyson fan and almost ended your life early 😱

To be world class swimmer you have to start young!

To expend your endless energy, we brought you to a baby spa! The aunties says that you are the only one that is able to ‘push’ the water out of the tub with your kicks! You are always so excited when you swim and cried when we took you out of the tub. You have made a name for yourself as every staff in the babyspa knows you!

We took you to the swimming pool!

Unlikely the babyspa, you are slightly uncomfortable in it. Guess it is too cold for you and the water has too much chlorine. After awhile you got used to it and started doing your world class kicks.

I think your swimming career is starting to take off !

Solid food time!

Seems like i’m forcing you to eat but i’m not. I was just too excited feeding you for the first time..haha!

You love all the creamy stuff like mashed potatoes and especially avocados (you atas girl!). You dislike pea puree, who likes pea puree anyway (your mum got it for you).

Celebrating the your first festival of lights (Happy Deepavali!)

Is the first time we celebrated a festive season together and it happens to be Deepavali! Like Deepavali is the celebration the festival of lights, you are the light in my life and i’m very blessed to be able hug and play with you every evening after work, bath you and feed you to sleep. I hope to have as many days with you as possible!

Baby Showers and celebrations!

Past months were filled of tears, sweat and joy!

I celebrated my first Father’s day with you and your mummy. I was feeling abit under the weather and thus we just have a small celebration and the nearby restaurant follow by a stroll in the park. You started making all sorts of noise, I guess my daily singing to entice you to sing right?😉 I have been saying ‘DADA’ to you for the past months and I hope your first words will be that. Don’t tell mummy ok?

You recently had bad rashes on your face and body and we got to know from the doctor you have eczema. Daddy really hope that your baby eczema will go away. It pains me to see you scratch your face and we sometimes have to restraint your hands from rubbing your face.

Your new way of sleeping😅

You start to learn how to flip (only on your left side) but you can’t flip back😐, making us worry at nights thinking you will suffocate. We have to place a big pillow on your side to prevent you from flipping. Still, somehow you manage to wiggle out some space to flip. Sign, getting more and more naughty!

Your 100 days celebration!

You reached your 100 days milestone! So many friends and relatives came to see you. We chose an elephant theme (bcos your mum loves elephants) and we DIY the decorations ourselves. You were on your best behavior and didn’t when everyone carried you. We dressed you up like a little princess so that people knows you are a girl. (There are times outsiders thought you are a boy when we brought you out 😡) But don’t worry, I know you will grow up to be a cute and pretty girl!❤

Your First Month!

A Small celebration of your first month!

It was your first month on 1st May! Your Mum and I were so excited as she has ended her confinement month and we were so eager to bring you out with our brand new stroller 😃

As it was the first time putting you in the stroller, you were uncomfortable and kept crying when we brought you to the nearby shopping mall. Still, we are very excited as this is the first time 3 of us went out together!👏👏

After a long day, you were so tired and fell asleep when I carried you. Even though you. Guess you must have enjoyed yourself too, we will have more outings together!

Blood, Sweat and Tears!

Last week was tough on us, especially your mum. We told the confinement Nanny to leave because she has not been taking care of you well! 😠.

This means your mum took care of you all by herself during her confinement period. No matter how hard and tiring she was, she ensured you are well taken care of. I realized how much a mother has to sacrificed to take care of their children. When you grow up, you better treat your mum well!

Your Jaundice level was 126, but the doctor said you have to take a liver test by extracting a large volume of blood from you. You mum and I were heartbroken when we have to restraint you when you cried so loudly and struggled as the doctor prick you heel and squeeze you feet to draw the blood😢

Grandma came occasionally to play and feed you so mum take a rest. She is waiting for you to call her grandma one day soon, so you better grow up health and strong!

Changing Diapers, breast feeding and late nights!

Yi Han’s 1 week old!

12 days since you are born and our lives has been revolving around you. Past few days has been visits from your grandmothers, friends and relatives.

Your ‘Monday blue’ face

Many told me you have my face but I realize you have your mum’s temper! Fussy, sassy but adorable! You are always frowns when I wake you up in the evening (I takes at least 1/2 hour to wake you up!) but Daddy has no choice. If not, you will wake us up at night every hourly! Mummy and Daddy needs our sleep if not we will become pandas~

If you happened to do your ‘business’ while feeding, you will refuse to get fed. I have to change your diapers (btw your diapers are changed 6-7 times! ) then you will drink your milk. Such a OCD baby just like Mummy !😂

You have of a Jaundice level 186 and only weight 2.7 KG when we see the PD last Saturday, but today’s check up, your Jaundice level have dropped to 156 and weight 3.2 KG. What a relieve! Mummy and Daddy will continue to sunbath you and feed you well so you can grow 白白胖胖~😁

The Journey Begins

1st April will never be the same April fool again.

It is the day my wife gave birth to a daughter. As I carried her for the first time, I felt a sense of overwhelming emotion. It seems so surreal that… I am now a father. From this on, my wife and I will embark a journey of  parenthood; priorities have changed. My life has changed.

For months, I worried about her. Will she be healthy, or even able be see this world. When she was out, I felt a slight sense of relive but I thought to myself: ‘will I be a good father?’ I guess you will never be ready until the moment comes but I will do my best, I love you!
